I felt like I had to slog through a lot of The Flight of Gemma Hardy, but I still really liked it. I love Jane Eyre and this was a really neat Jane Eyre type story. It was different enough, though, that it was unique. The story takes place during the 1950s in Scotland. There is also a lot of talk of Iceland, which I really liked (I like all of that Nordic Scandinavian stuff). The book was kind of engrossing. Some parts dragged but when I was into it, I was really into it.
