I really, really liked this book!Cinder remembers nothing of her early life. At the age of eleven she was in a hover accident and the only way to save her life was to make her part machine. Cinder is a cyborg. This wouldn't be so bad if the world didn't see cyborgs as second class citizen. The only thing worse than being a cyborg would be being Lunar - the race of people from the moon.Cinder carries her "disability" as well as she can and has her android, Iko, and step sister, Peony, as friends. But then Peony contracts the plague that is ravaging the earth and when Cinder, who is with her doesn't catch it, she is sent to the research lab at the palace for to "volunteer" to be a injected with the plague to help find a cure...I really liked this retelling of Cinderella and I cannot wait for the next book in the series. The story is familiar enough but it is a really unique take on it and I just love the way it was done.
