Eve (Eve, #1)

Eve (Eve, #1) - Anna Carey This was a great read. The story started off quickly and just kept going. The quick pace made it a really fast read.Eve lives in the future and as it happens so frequently in these books, the outlook for civilization is bleak. Most of the population has been wiped out by a virus and now the king is trying to repopulate the planet. Eve is an orphan, about to graduate from the School she has lived at since her mother died during the plague. The night before graduation she learns that the girls will not be sent to learn trades but will be used to produce mass amounts of babies. Eve decides to run away.See? Quick read. All of that happens by like page 5. It was crazy. There were a few things that didn't make sense in the story, like where did the runaways keep their horses so that troops wouldn't find them and know where their hideout was, but I pretty much just tried not to think about any of that. If you like books featuring the mayhem that is the future and you like a little romance mixed in, then this is a book to check out.
