These books are ok. I can understand why children like them - they have lots of action/adventure and the characters are good - but I just don't think they are that great. I don't like how Dan and Amy are able to just survive all this crazy stuff and outsmart everyone else. I don't think it is likely that they would be solving these puzzles just in the nick of time the way they do in each book. I know these books aren't realistic fiction, but I just can't seem to suspend my belief enough to make them super enjoyable. I also don't like how we're supposed to believe Amy and Dan are related to EVERYONE. I think the big secret is that they are related to Jesus Christ or something. I mean, they're related to everyone else on the planet. I am committed to finishing the series, though, even if it isn't the best thing I've ever read because I want to see how everything ends.
