Woo hoo! I finished a book on Leap Day! (I don't know why that excites me.)Anyway, I heard about Mrs. Wiggs of the Cabbage Patch through The Nerdy Book Club. I hadn't heard of it and thought I'd check it out from the library. I had to ILL it and the book that arrived looked like what I would pull off my great-grandmother's bookshelf. Seriously. Oldest library book ever! The story was about a poor widow and her children. They struggle to survive but keep their chins up and manage to be ok. They never really get much money, but they never lose their spirit or take anything for granted. It's a story probably a lot of people could benefit from reading.
